Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Handoff (the "Service"), a video editing service operated by Handoff ("Handoff," "we," "us," or "our"), available at handoff.video.

By purchasing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Handoff Provides

Handoff is a done-for-you video editing service designed for TikTok Shop affiliate creators. We accept raw video clips you submit and return them edited and ready to post within 24 hours of receipt.

Our editing scope is limited to:

  • Cutting and trimming raw footage
  • Removing bad takes, dead air, and pauses
  • Selecting the best take from multi-take submissions
  • Preserving your original message and tone

Our editing scope does not include:

  • Adding captions, text overlays, or graphics
  • Adding music, sound effects, or B-roll
  • Motion graphics, transitions beyond simple cuts, or visual effects
  • Animation, VFX, or scripting work
  • Long-form content, multi-clip storytelling, or vlog editing
  • Any work requiring a creative brief or extensive direction

Purchases and Pricing

Handoff charges $10 per edited video, billed automatically every Tuesday and Friday based on the number of completed videos delivered to your Google Drive folder. All prices are in U.S. dollars and processed through Stripe. A $1 card verification fee is charged at signup and refunded within 3 days. Charges will appear as HANDOFF on your statement.

Turnaround Time

We aim to return edited videos within 24 hours of receiving your raw footage. Turnaround may be longer during weekends, holidays, or periods of high volume. We will notify you if we expect significant delays.

Turnaround time begins when we receive a complete, usable submission. Submissions that are incomplete, corrupted, or do not match our editing scope may be returned for resubmission, which may extend the timeline.

Customer Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree that:

  • You own or have full rights to all video content you submit for editing
  • Your submitted content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
  • Your submitted content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable material
  • You will provide submissions that match our editing scope as defined in these Terms

You are solely responsible for the legality of any content you submit. We reserve the right to refuse any submission that violates these Terms or that we believe in good faith may be unlawful.

Refund Policy

New customers are entitled to a full refund if not satisfied with their first 3 edited videos. To request a refund, contact support@handoff.video. Videos that have been edited and delivered beyond the initial 3 are non-refundable. If Handoff is unable to deliver your edited videos for any reason on our end, you will receive a full refund for those videos.

Revisions

Each video includes one round of minor revisions if the edit does not meet the scope described in these Terms. Revision requests outside our editing scope (for example, requests to add captions or graphics) cannot be accommodated.

Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. After 7 days, the delivered video is considered final.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your raw video content and the final edited videos we deliver. Handoff retains ownership of its editing methodology, internal processes, branding, and website content.

By submitting content to us, you grant Handoff a limited license to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the editing service you have purchased.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, abuse the Service, submit unlawful content, or engage in fraudulent behavior. In such cases, refunds will be issued at our discretion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that our edited videos will result in any particular outcome, including views, sales, or audience growth on TikTok or any other platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handoff and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.
